Rich's Philosophy
Eat and be active with purpose. Whether I live to 60 or 100, I want each given day to be without self-inflicted, physical limitations. Real life may deal a heavy hand, but it cannot rob me of free will. Poor food choices and lack of exercise are not an option. I do what I can each day. And that collective approach has huge payoffs.
The only “DAY” to concern yourself with is “TODAY”. That’s what I tell clients, friends and colleagues. Don’t be concerned with what your workout will be 5 days from now. Invest as little as 20 minutes into today.
Replenish your system as it was designed. Before I leave the house each morning (after eating my first meal), I have a plan for the next five meals. Plan so you can eat five to six smaller meals each day. Lunch, snacks and (yes) dinner are deliberate. Especially key is having that one power food. It’s easy to tote and keeps you satisfied. My power food is raw almonds.
The body is not concerned at all with tomorrow. It has nutritional and exercise needs that you are responsible to deliver today. Nobody else can do it for you.
